For the most part, artistically speaking, I'm a painter. Charcoal sketches are the closest thing to painting to me. This is something I've revisited just recently and I've really enjoyed it. I love how loose I can be and the richness of the black. I also like to throw in a pop of color and some white highlights (on toned paper). It's also kind of an instant gratification for me, because it's a much quicker process.
